Metro Detroiters help with Philippines typhoon relief effort
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - The death toll could top 10,000 in the Philippines after a massive typhoon caused flooding, landslides and widespread damage. The U.S. is helping with aid, and now Metro Detroiters with ties to the Philippines are helping to raise money for the victims. Nearly 4.3 million people are affected; 330,000 are homeless after the storm. Survivors are in need of food, water, electricity and medical assistance...
